Benoekie National Challenge 2026

Overview
The Benoekie National Challenge 2026 is the first-ever “Koekie” challenge, inspired by the Benoni koekie created by Yolandi Palmer. Benoekie NPC (2026/100098/08) invites communities across South Africa to bake giant cookies (“Benoekies”) to raise funds and awareness for critical causes.

Funds raised will directly support:
– The South African Depression and Anxiety Group (SADAG)
– Action Society

Mission
Through baking and selling Benoekies, towns and teams will unite to:
– Promote mental health awareness and suicide prevention
– Support child protection and welfare
– Address gender-based violence

Challenge Details
– Duration: 1 June – 30 November 2026
– Promotion Period: March – May 2026

Each entry’s proceeds must be split equally between SADAG and Action Society. Winners will be announced in December 2026, with cash prizes awarded to support charities of their choice.

Entry Requirements
– Application: Complete the online form and pay a R250 entry fee.
– Recipe: All Benoekies must use the official recipe provided upon registration.
– Proof: Submit photos, videos, measurements, and donation receipts by 30 November 2026.
– Multiple Entries: Allowed, but each requires a separate application and fee.

Terms and Conditions
– Only registered entries qualify for prizes.
– Funds raised must be donated directly to the designated beneficiaries, with proof submitted.
– The Benoekie logo may only be used for the 2026 challenge.
– Benoekie NPC is not liable for loss, damage, or negligence during the challenge.
– Each team must appoint one responsible leader for compliance and reporting.
– All application fees and sponsorships will be pooled into cash prizes for winners (after necessary costs).

– Official recipe and logo usage rights
– Recognition as a national participant
– Weekly updates on entries via Benoekie’s website and social media
– National exposure for winners, including acknowledgement of all individuals and businesses involved

Beneficiaries’ Role
SADAG and Action Society will provide proposals outlining how funds will be used. They will also share updates with the nation and promote the challenge to maximise impact.
